Dateline: Cambridge NY... Web came through the operation with flying colors and is doing well according to Joe Rouse.  Everything is looking good and he is on his way to a full recover.

As most of you know, this is not an operation with a 1 week recovery time.  Web is in for a lot of down time. I know he would still appreciate your prayers

        Joe Rouse---Web Madison report:

Great news. Web just called me from St. Peters Hospital, and will be released tomorrow--Friday--and will be staying a few days with his friend, Patty.
He is feeling great, all the precautions need to be taken of course, but overall, this guy is ready to run O'Donnell hill road in the Town of Jackson.
If I sound fired up--I am. Web is a great friend to me, and I am back.

Spread the word.

Reporter Joe!!!

Great news about Web.  Maybe we'll see him at reunion.

Why isn't Joe posting his own news?  Are people still afraid of 'passwords'.  I'm sure Pauline will help them.

Well  I just was able to get on the site.  I'm staying at my Girlfriends house in Easton for my recovery.     I first I would like to thank all you people that gave me support in your thoughts and prayers.  I feel great. I'm taking things slow but my recovery has been great.   St. Peters Hosp. is by far a very very Professional place to be. I can't say enough about the care I had. If the reunion was today I would be able to attend. So I'll be able to thank you in person in July.  Karen --I tried to call you but couldn't get your # through Google. but I got your note and yes I'm still hugging the pillow and coughing and will do so for a long period of time.    Betty  I've got lots of time to come up with some ideas for the cook book.  Joe Rouse kept in close contact.    My girlfriend Patty and my youngest daughter Candace--who was at the reunion last year with me-- came every day,Candace Just grad. from ACC as a RN and works at ST.Peters takes very good care of Dad.     My Doctor-- Bennett  St.Peters told me that being in excelent physical shape prevented me from  having the big one.  In 1984 Mick Kent and Paul Schneider encouraged me to start running with them. I have never stopped. Thank you. Also a very special thanks to my sister Irene who gave me a free Heart cat scan for my Birthday in Feb.  I would encourage anyone with a family History of heart problems to get one..    Thanks everyone again.   Thanks Pauline.          Web

Hey Web - Happy Days are here again!!! I bet good ole Washington County looked mighty good to you. Did you know that your old neighbor, Janet Bennett, also had Dr. Bennett for her surgery? She likes him too and had great results. Whenever I have visited at St. Pete's, I have been impressed with the people.Strangers actully talk to you there. So, Web, keep improving with each passing day as you take your little walks looking at the Easton hills and hugging your pillow.

Hi Webb,
We are so glad to hear that you are having a relatively easy and fast recovery. I'm sure that the prayers of all of us on Smoke Signals helped. It sounds like running thru the years helped to keep you in good condition so you can thank Mick and Paul for encouraging you. I have several friends who have had surgery at St. Peters and were vey impressed by their treatment. It sounds like the Cat Scan that your Sister Irene        gave you was a real act of family love.
Have a good day,
Mary and Tom

Tom --Pauline and Abner.   Thoughts and prayers meant much to me . I'll keep Jerold in mind and Abner the hardest part now is not and I mean not to over do it .  24 -7 on hugging the pillow no lifting over 5 lbs. or even opening a heavy door.    Tom -  Someone was watching over me on this one .    Parade tomorrow in Cambridge-- Perfect weather I think.    Also    Decaf coffee. Don't know how I'll make that one last.       Web

Karen   I was in Cambridge the other day and had my Red heart pillow.  It's very hard in recovery to remember 24-7 what you can do and can't.  My girlfriend catches me 15 times a day doing a no no.   Hugging the pillow and caughting very important.  A big problem I have is walking around in public hugging a red heart shaped pillow  is not me.  Whats next pink lipstick?  But I don't want that chest bone to pop out.   I'm taking myself off pain Med. and still feel ok.   -- Oh yea I also have shaved legs.   Web
