Hi Folks, Something came up last night that I was never involved in as I was never a farmer so it is interesting to me. Mary's brother was helping one of the cows to have a calf. In the mean time the rest of the 9 cows escaped and were spread all over the farm and neighbor's farms. i was overseeing the whole thing from the front window. One of the cows that escaped had a calf in a neighbors field. The cows are back now, unfortunately the other calf died. I guess this happens quite often on farms. Mary and Tom

Boy Tom, I've chased more cows than I like to remember. Funny, but growing up on the farm I never saw a calf being born. I believe my parents thought the birth process was not for my "delicate young eyes". Boy, were things different back then!!!
