Hi folks,
We had a very nice trip yesterday out to the Knock Shrine in County Mayo. we went to Mass and then had lunch, then we went out to see Knock airport. It is very high up and the planes are almost in the air in the middle of the runway.
We then went to Ballyhaunis and met the disc jockey Noel Grogan and his wife Aileen. we had a drink and talked for about an hour, then we went down to the studio and had a live interview. He plays all Irish music on Midwest Irish Radio.
It is an all internet station and broadcasts all over the world.
It was about a 250  mile trip. Some of the roads have a lot to be desired. we probably took more out of the car than on our 1000 mile trip to Florida.
Have a good day,
 Mary and Tom

That was a great story Tom. Keep em coming. So you were actually interviewed on an Irish radio show? What kinds of stuff did you talk about?

Hi Karen,
Thanks for your interest in our trip. To start with it was a beautiful day. We discussed our lives and he was very interested to hear about Mary's life in Ireland before she left for the states and how we met. The disc jockey was originally a truck driver. It is a strictly internet radio show and broadcasts all over the world. I found it by accident and really enjoy it. It comes in great on our broadband at home. Just put in Midwest Irish Radio. They have continuous music. The show that we listen to in the Noel Grogan show it comes on in America at 12:30 in the afternoon and has continuous irish music.
Another thing that we thought might interest you. One of the cows gave birth to a calf the other night. They leave them right in the field here so they are in the field in front of the house.
Have a good day,

Hi Pauline,
The one wedding that we went to was in Cabra Castle it was built in th 1700's. We are going to another wedding in another Castle.
I thought you would be interested my sleep apnea is no where as bad over here I breathe much better. You would think it would be harder to breathe the heavier air. How are you doing with yours. This dial up is so slow that it drives me nuts. I really miss our broadband.
God Bless
Mary and Tom.
