Joel, I am at work right now so I will look it up in the yearbook tonight. However, I don't remember us having a class song. Hmmmmm... interesting question!

* Left Cambridge after graduation with trail of smoke behind me. 1958. Yup, in six weeks it will be 50 years. * Four years at SUNY Potsdam; * summer of 1962 started graduate work at Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. (Remember driving me out there, Mick? We thought they kept moving Rochester farther and farther away on that trip.) * Three years teaching in Roosevelt on Long Island, * a year at law school in NYC, * got married (1967) to Fred who was a lawyer but had been drafted so off to Fort Campbell KY where we lived in Clarksville TN and I became the first white teacher in an all-black school that was under pressure to integrate. * Fred reassigned to Fort Bragg so off to NC with TDY station for 10 glorious spring weeks in Charlottesville, VA. Saw Mick during that time as it was one of his stints in coastal VA. * Fred sent to Vietnam mid-1969 so I went to Slingerlands, NY where his parents lived and taught that year in Amsterdam, NY. * Fred's next duty station Fort Carson CO; off to experience the front range of the Rockies. Dry out there. I worked for the musical part of the service clubs, we split up in '72 and I met Chris. * Traveled after Chris got out of Army, all thru the West, winding up in * Seattle where he wanted to settle, '74-'79. When * Eddie (father) got sick in 1979, I returned to Cambridge and eventually in 1980 moved over to * Bennington, VT in order to find a job. Been here ever since. Worked some retail but main job was with VT Department of Employment & Training. Now raising chickens and playing a ton of music. Ooks, that was more than you wanted to know.... --Last edited by Mary Lee Kent on 2008-05-02 23:11:03 -- |

OK you asked for it. My life started in Hoosick Falls in 1933. From there to Cambridge. In March of 1952 I went into the Air Force where I spent 20 years and 19 days. During those years I had the opportunity to travel many miles, visiting every state except Alaska. My 20 years started at Sanpson AFB, NY until May 52, - On to Chanute AFB, Ill until Jan 53, - There to Japan for awhile and on to Osan AB, Korea to Mar 54, - Dobbins AFB, Ga till Jan 56. From there to Ent AFB, Colo for a year, Back to Chanute AFB to school and on to McChord AFB, Wash until Apr 58. From there to Torrejon AB, Spain and back to Connally AFB in May of 1961. In Jul 64 I was off to Bien Hoa, AB Vietnam for a year and on to Griffis AFB, NY in July 65. In June of 68 I was on my way to Darmstadt, Germany where I was group Weather Officer as a MSgt with Air Intelligence for 3 years. Before this I was Chief Weather Observer from 1953 on. On my return to the states I went to Andrews AFB, this unit was providing direct weather support for the President of the United States. There is more to my story like visits to the Azores, Brumuda, Guam, Philipines, Thailand and some I forgot. I even made it to Burlin before they tore the wall down. I got married at McCord AFB in 1957 and Ana is still with me after 50 years. She was as much part of the Air Force as I was. Our son Bill jr was born in Spain and Dan and Richard in Waco Texas. So that's my story and and I am sticking to it. If I made any spelling mistakes. please just over look them.

Wow, Bill lots of traveling in your lifetime. Wasn't there a saying something like, "Join the service and see the world?" My Aunt joined and got as far as Kansas. You certainly had lots of changes in your address book. What an education living in all of those places. Nice going. |

Sounds like a lot of you have had pretty interesting lives, with so much travel. My life has been interesting but I haven't lived very far from Cambridge, except for the year after I graduated and I went to Albany Busines College and lived in the middle of Albany. This farm girl hated the city!!! We've seen most of the US on vacation but never been overseas. Doubt we ever will. We've been in Mexico a couple of times and cruised the Caribbean. Otherwise it's been just Cambridge, Jackson, and Greenwich.
