I just received last week's EAGLE where there is a picture of the Rich Popcorn wagon along with a story of the restoration. Sounds like it has been or will be popping corn again. What good news!!

I hope all of you that have not received your EAGLE, will get it soon. A popcorn story worth reading. As for an appearance of the popcorn wagon at the 2008 CCS Reunion, maybe we should put a bee in the bonnet of some special committee members    HI BETTY , and ask them to bring it up at this week's meeting.I imagine it will take some doing to get it to the reunion. If Mr. Rich could drive it to and from Florida several times, (as per the EAGLE article), then I'll offer to drive it from Saratoga to Cambridge   Who will offer to crank it up for me?? Hubby knows lots about antique cars..I'll let him ride shotgun and make the popcorn.

Sounds like a plan Karen - love to see you and Rich on your trip from Saratoga to Cambridge (and I love popcorn).  

I'll bring it up at the meeting but have my doubts that it can be done - would be great if it could happen.

Bill, did you ever contact the EAGLE about not getting some copies? I have had the same problem and when I "nag," the EAGLE people visit the Cambridge Post office and then things improve for a couple of weeks. I wish I could afford to get the EAGLE and MAIN STREET delivered by 1st class mail instead of 3rd class.

  Karen my friend, I have never talked to the people at the EAGLE.  I think it is the Post Office that has the problem. I have gotten three papers in two days and they are all two to five weeks late.  Just another---check it up to life things.  Murphy's Law.

I think some of you subscribed to the other Cambridge paper, "Main Street." Are those arriving in a reasonable amount of time?

The Eagel has not landed here in a month now.  Have the Indians shut down the Pony Express?  

Not all Federals realize that Texas is back to being part of the union so they are holding the Eagle up for lack of sufficent "foreign" postage

  Good one Joel.  But the union and the Eagle Headquarters will have to carry on without additional funds from Texas.  Do they put their news on line like the Benninton Banner?

Unfortunately Bill, The EAGLE only puts headlines online and they are usually running a few days late too. Maybe if they feed those horses better on the Pony Express, you'd get better results.

Not much can be done about the paper unless I move back to Cambridge.  The Pony that came to Texas would run faster as glue.  Thanks for thinking of me Karen but in the end Murphy alway wins.

  Some information for the tribe that dances with us each day.  I emailed The Eagle about my problem after Karen sent me their address.  Well a man named Eric answered me and said he had sent my email to the local post office.  Also said he would send me a copy of the paper with the Popcorn Wagon story in it. Reading between the lines it sounded like I am not the only one not getting the paper.  We will see what happens now.  Thank you Eric and Karen.
